This Spanish Reading Comprehension resource includes five reading texts on the topic of poverty and homelessness. For each reading text, there are comprehension and vocabulary exercises that are challenging and fun.

This resource is ideal for use in the classroom, in a one-to-one setting, or for homework/self-study.

Description

This Spanish Reading Comprehension resource focuses on poverty and homelessness. It includes five reading texts, each covering a different aspect of the topic.

The titles of the reading texts are:

  • ¿Existe un vínculo entre la pobreza y el cambio climático? (Is there a link between poverty and climate change?)
  • ¿Es posible acabar con la pobreza? (Is it possible to end poverty?)
  • ¿Qué podemos hacer para aliviar la pobreza extrema en el mundo? (What can we do to alleviate extreme poverty in the world?)
  • Un gato salva la vida de un joven sin hogar (A cat saves a young homeless man)
  • Olvidadas: Las personas sin hogar (Forgotten: Homeless people)

The reading texts are written for intermediate / upper-intermediate level Spanish students, including GCSE (Higher). Each text is designed to include high-quality vocabulary so that students are then able to speak and write about this topic with relevant, advanced vocabulary.
