This Spanish grammar practice resource helps students understand how to use desde, desde hace, and hace. It also includes explanations and exercises for desde que and hace que.
This resource is designed for students who are already familiar with these, but who need extra support in using them correctly. Often, even fairly advanced students struggle with these, and with some extra focus on them, they can sort them out in their minds and self-correct.
What does the resource include?
- Guided notes on how to use (1) desde, (2) desde hace, (3) hace, (4) desde que, and (5) hace que.
- Translation exercises from Spanish into English, practicing each one of these.
- Translation exercises from English into Spanish, practicing each one of these.
- Gap fill exercise practicing desde, desde hace and hace.
How to use the resource
The resource can be used either with or without teacher intervention. Students should be able to use dictionaries (either paper or online) to look up any vocabulary they need as the resource is focusing on grammar practice, not vocabulary-building. There are answers included in the resource, and teachers can mark students’ work, or students can mark their own work.
The resource is available to download in both A4 size and Letter size.
